WEDDING RECEPTIONS

Having a problem wrestling with ideas for your wedding reception? The sign of a true wedding DJ professional is flexibility. Flexibility is also the primary trait of an unstressed bride and groom.
First, we begin by
sending you a Wedding Reception Planner which will help us organize the events at
your wedding reception. Thunder Entertainment is happy to work with
your Banquet Manager, Photographer, and Videographer, and of course, both of you.
Next, we like to schedule a meeting before the reception. This allows us the
chance to introduce ourselves to you and answer any of your questions that you may
have.

The following is an outline of a typical wedding reception. Of course, it is your special day, so if you want to eliminate tradition, or reorder the events, just let us know. After all, every couple is unique, so shall be every reception.
COCKTAIL
MUSIC
As your guests arrive, we generally play a light mixture of music. This is the time when your guests are spending time conversing with friends and relatives, we try to keep the music low-key and our volumes unobtrusive.
INTRODUCTION
OF THE BRIDE AND GROOM
At this time, your photographer will take the bridal party for pictures. When the bride and groom arrive at the reception hall, we will introduce the bride and groom.
BRIDAL
PARTY INTRODUCTIONS
If you prefer, we can obtain a list of the bridal party and the order they will be appearing in the wedding ceremony. When the bridal party arrives at the reception hall, we will introduce them as they enter.
RECEPTION LINE (Optional)
A
reception line can be accomplished with the introductions or can be a separate event . Typically, the bride, groom, and parents
will line up and greet the guests as they go through the line. This is a great time to say
"thank you" to all of your guests for attending your special day.
FIRST
DANCES
Typically occurs right after the bride/groom arrive. The bride and groom pre-select this song before the wedding day.
Bride and Groom Dance
Bride's Dance with her Father
Groom's Dance with his Mother

Toast by the Best Man

Cake Cutting
DOLLAR DANCE OR SPECIAL DANCES (OPTIONAL)
The Dollar Dance or Money Dance as it is usually referred to, is common among wedding receptions.
LET'S
DANCE!
At
this time of the reception, we usually play a lot of popular hits that everyone knows to
get everyone involved in dancing.

BOUQUET/GARTER TOSS
Tossing of the Bouquet
Tossing of the Garter
RETURN TO DANCING
Toward
the end of the reception, we like to play a mix of popular songs to get everyone
dancing.
LAST
DANCE (Optional)
Replaying the "first dance" again so that all of the guests can join in the dance is a nice touch if another song hasn't been chosen.
FINAL
THOUGHTS
Remember,
please bear in mind that we have made broad suggestions towards a typical wedding
reception, if there is anything we can do to make your event special, unique and
memorable, please let us know!
Some people view hiring a DJ as a wearisome task and choose the one with the least expensive price. However, an inexperienced DJ can make the difference between an occasion to remember and a occasion to forget! Clearly, there are several factors to consider, so don't take unnecessary risks. Take the time to evaluate your DJ because you deserve the best..
